Thompson, Coburn LLP

 Last fall, Women In Charge was chosen to be the recipient of fundraisers held by the support staff at Thompson, Coburn LLP, a major law firm in St. Louis.  Thompson Coburn staff members sold nachos, brownies and chili throughout the fall, as well as holding a school supply drive.  One staff member made 54 blankets for the children’s program.  The staff at Women In Charge was then invited to attend the law firm holiday party to receive the proceeds.  What a wonderful surprise to receive a check for $34,000!  Even the donors were amazed at the total.

    Due to increased attendance, the staff at Women In Charge has been trying to figure out how to afford another teacher.  Also, we have wanted to expand the Parenting program with a purchased, but costly, curriculum.  Happily we now have the means to pursue some of these goals.  Thank you again to the wonderful people at Thompson, Coburn, LLP.
