Serving Women in Need for 14 Years

In 2004, to celebrate the 10th anniversary of its founding, Women In Charge hosted a party themed "Diamond in the Rough" at the lovely University City home of Phil and Sue Wright. Board members and volunteers worked hard to make the party a huge success. Approximately 100 guests celebrated with delicious food from Something Elegant Catering, bluegrass music by Tucker Mountain, and a silent auction. Guests enjoyed inspirational speeches from Shunte Hawkins, a past participant of women In Charge, Rosalyn Murphy, Director of the Children's Program, and Lynn Courier of Dream Dare Do. In addition, the Board of Directors honored founder and executive director, Victoria Sharp, for her vision, passion, and dedication to improving the lives of women and children through her work at Women In Charge.
